Jane Lee’s interest in African handicrafts has grown during many years living in Kenya and Zimbabwe working with craft producers. She has travelled and worked extensively within the continent of Africa and maintains a passion for both the traditional and contemporary crafts. She now lives in the Midi Pyrenees in France.

Jane Stillwell has extensive experience of craft sourcing in Zimbabwe and for 10 years ran her own UK based not-for-profit craft marketing company which supported development projects, mainly in the field of education, in Zimbabwe. She is a professional photographer and travelling in Zimbabwe with Lee, she has had the opportunity to photograph many craft groups, co-operatives and individual craftspeople. Her photographic work has been exhibited and is sold in England.
